IPM launches two new diploma courses

The IPM Business School launched two new diplomas, namely Diploma in Occupational Safety and Health (DIOSH) and Diploma in Industrial Relations and Industrial Law (DIIRIL) recently.

This event attracted a large number of HR professionals, corporate heads, students and trade unionists. The Chief Guest at this special event was Labour Relations and Manpower Ministry Secretary Mahinda Madihahewa.


Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka President Lalith A. P. Wijetunge, receiving the chief guest Labour Relations and Manpower Ministry Secretary Mahinda Madihahewa.

Lively and interesting presentations were made by Director General, National Institute of Safety and Health, Ministry of Labour Relations, Sri Lanka Dr Hemantha Wickramatillake and HRD Consultant and the Past President, Institute of Personnel Management Sri Lanka Jayanta Jayaratna.

The Institute of Personnel Management of Sri Lanka having gained an indepth understanding of the needs of the HR professional, have come forward again with these two unique study courses that would enhance the value of those who are currently engaged and are aspiring to be HR practioners.

IPM is a member of the Organization of Professional Associations in Sri Lanka and also a member of the Asia Pacific Federation of Human Resource Management (APFHRM) through which the Institute is affiliated to the World Federation of Personnel Management Associations (WFPMA).

The vision, mission, values and objectives of the Institute focus on the raising of professional standards in human resource management, and development of the human resource management profession through a process of conducting professional examinations, seminars/workshops, conferences, HR consultancies and research studies.

The operational arm of IPM the Business School converts the mission of IPM which is “Opening the pathways to the Human Resource Management profession, becoming the knowledge center for local and regional people, as the catalyst partner in the human capital development”.

IPM’s Business School provides its services to nurture, enhance and develop the hidden talents and competencies from school-leavers to the professional in the field of human resource management and non-human resource management.
