Vidyartha pile up 252/6

Vidyartha College, Kandy made 252 for 6 off 73 overs on the first day of their schools Under-19 cricket tournament match against Rahula College, Matara which began at Police grounds, Kandy yesterday. The match will be continued today at 9 am.

Over two hours of play was lost due to a helicopter landing in the playing field in which some foreigners arrived.

For Vidyartha College, R.S. Bandara 73 (11 fours, 1 six) and Kasun Wijekoon 50 (7 fours) put on 91 runs for the third wicket.

Vidyartha College 252 for 6 wickets in 73 overs (Kasun Wijekoon 50, R.S. Bandara 73, N.M. Galapitige 40).
