Allegedly killing own new-born: Woman arrested

A woman was arrested by police for allegedly killing and burying her new born baby in Bope, Padukka on Monday evening.

Police spokesman SSP I.M. Karunaratna said acting on information about a woman who killed and buried her newly born baby at the backyard of her house, police rushed to the scene and arrested the suspect.

The suspect was produced before the Magistrate.

Padukka police are conducting investigations.
