Murder case: Two Army deserters in custody

Two suspects were taken into custody by Anuradhapura police for allegedly committing a murder with a T-56 weapon robbed from a member of the Civil Security Service while the latter was engaged in security duties at the official residence of the Anuradhapura Additional Magistrate.

Sergeant Aloysius of the Anuradhapura Police Crime Division said the two suspects who are deserters from the Army and the Civil Security Force are due to be produced before the Anuradhapura magistrate.

Investigations are continuing.
