To inspire positive thinking and positive change:

Mother Sri Lanka program

Mother Sri Lanka, the social uplifting organization took yet another step forward by integrating volunteers from around the island into their program, aimed at increasing their task force while reaching out to a greater number of people.

The investiture of volunteers was held on December 11 at the Sri Lanka Foundation Institute. Volunteers were assigned to their districts and proposals called forward.

They will hence carry out projects chosen by them in their relevant districts. These projects will focus on community development and the change of social attitude, particularly the nurturing of productive patriotism.

Mother Sri Lanka is an initiative program to inspire positive thinking and positive change among Sri Lankans. A concept of President Mahinda Rajapaksa incepted in November 2008, it is co-ordinated by the Presidential Secretariat.

Since its inception Mother Sri Lanka has carried out several programs aimed for children. Through the current program they will be reaching out to adults.
