Extreme Left-Right combination:

There is a very grave situation in the country with the most dangerous conspiracy afoot since independence. It was a Washington consensus nomination putting together the unholy JVP-UNP extreme Left extreme Right combination, Minister D.E.W. Gunasekera said yesterday.

Though the JVP-UNP combine was talking about freedom and democracy Opposition candidate Fonseka is hankering after power as he had already said he does not want to be a ceremonial President like William Gopallawa, Minister Maithripala Sirisena said.
