Homadola emerge champions

Homadola estate emerged champions of the first ever staff volleyball tournament conducted in the Udugama range of Watawala Plantations PLC.

The tournament organized by the General Manager Yajith de Silva in collaboration with the managers in Watawala Plantation Udugama range under the advice of the CEO Dan Seevaratnam to provide recreation facilities to the estate staff this event is the initial event followed up by other sports activities in time to come.

The General Secretary of Ceylon Estate Staff Union Nath Amarasinghe commended the event and said it is a historic event as this the first time such an event was organize for the estate staff who contribute very much for the plantation sector.

He appreciated the initiatives taken by Watawala plantation PLC for the well-being of the estate staff. The Oil Palm Mill team won the runners-up award.
