Special Police squads to deal with underworld

The Police Department has set up special squads to wipe out underworld gang leaders and hard drug traffickers from the country. Keeping with President Mahinda Rajapaksa’s “Mathata Thitha” the Police Department will take stern action against the culprits, irrespective of their ranks or position,said IGP Mahinda Balasuriya at a press conference held yesterday at the Police Headquarters.
