Seylan Bank managed to clinch the 27th annual Mercantile team
Badminton Championship which was worked off at S. Thomas' Indoor
Stadium, Mt. Lavinia on Sunday. It was a one horse race to the finals as
the star studded Seylan team won the men's 'A' division title as well.
Mclarens were the runners-up while HNB secured the third place.
Sri Lankan National champion Niluka Karunaratne bagged the best
player's award in the men's 'A' division while star women shuttler
Thilini Jayasinghe of Sampath bank won the best player's award in the
womens 'A' division.
