CINEC, Mobitel win award

The Colombo International Nautical and Engineering College (CINEC) and Mobitel (Pvt) Ltd won the National Quality Award 2009 at the National Quality Award Ceremony held at the BMICH yesterday. It was the 15th National Quality Award Ceremony held since 1995.

This annual National Quality Award Ceremony is a commendable step in encouraging Sri Lankan manufacturers and industrialists to enhance their efforts for improvement of the quality of products and services delivered by them in keeping pace with rapid technological development, said the Chief Guest Prime Minister Ratnasiri Wickramanayaka at the ceremony.

The Sri Lanka Standard Institute (SLSI) focused its attention while organizing this event giving priority to the Medium and Small industries. Hence, it has encouraged manufacturers, service providers and entrepreneurs in Sri Lanka, he said.
