War heroes receive lands in Kadawatha

Defence Secretary Gotabhaya Rajapaksa directed Army officers who received blocks of land in Kadawatha to use vehicles and other facilities of the Defence Ministry to clear and construct roads in their lands.

Arrested LTTEers were abductors

Two LTTE suspects who were arrested by a special police team in Vavuniya were found to have had connections with the abduction of a youth and demanding Rs.500,000 as ransom, Police spokesman SSP, I.M. Karunaratne said.
