‘Cadets must be prepared to protect the Nation’

A good future has dawned to the cadets as schoolchildren and the cadets’ prime duty is to look for the National Security. “Cadets should line-up to render their maximum support to the national requirement without aiming to obtain a certificate, Director National Cadet Corps Major General Gamini Jayasundara said as the Chief Guest at the award ceremony of the passing out parade of Cadets Advanced Course recently.

The ceremony was held at the NCC Training Centre, Rantembe. About 800 school cadets from all over the island took part in the course.

Through his 30 years experience as a soldier in the North East war, he said the war which prevailed over three decades could be annihilated under the correct leadership of President Mahinda Rajapaksa.
