Akbar Brothers Ltd beat Union Assurance PLC by 75 points to 65 in a Delmege Super League 'A' Division Basketball match played at Otter's Aquatic Club Courts.

Akbar Brothers was in the lead 36 points to 25 at half time.

Sanketha Jayaratne was top scorer for the winners with 29 points. Jeevan Priyankara (13 points) and Thushara Jayaratne (12 points) made valuable contributions for the Akbar Brothers team.

Aruna Wickramage and Chaminda de Alwis scored 21 points each for Union Assurance team. Isuru Perera got 18 points.

SriLankan Airlines defeated Softlogic Group by 73 points to 72 in a Delmege Super League 'B' Division game played at the same venue.

Gihan Wijesinghe was the highest scorer for the winning team with 28 points. P.E.N.E. De Silva collected 18 points and Sanjaya Wanasekera got 17 points while Rusira Ranatunga made a valuable contribution with 26 points for Softlogic Group team. Manaram Bandara bagged 20 points and Roshantha Liyanage 10 points.
