Shehan props up Thurstan

Opener Shehan Kamalean hit a fighting century with ten boundaries to help Thurstan College reach a modest 182 runs in their first innings on the opening day of their inter-school cricket tournament match against St. Joseph's College which commenced at Darley Road yesterday.

Thurstan: 182 (S. Kamalean 109, P. Arthavindu 21, D. Dhambarage 2 for 49, C. Kumara 2 for 30, R. Thatill 5 for 51).

St. Joseph's: 17 for 1.
