The exhibition will be open to the public on November 14 and 15 at 10
a.m. to 8 p.m. It includes modern art of a different style and Arabic
calligraphy using mixed media on canvas and paper. Imthias flirts with
the most extraordinary shapes and lines and the simplest of material. Be
it an exquisite work of calligraphy or the paintings inspired by nature,
all these features echo the talent of a daring artist. He is also a
qualified jewellery designer and a professional artist with a load of
experience gained during his stay in Belgium and London.
This artist has a range of paintings that oozes creativity. The
emphasis of nature reflected in his paintings depict the most
extraordinary shapes and are, according to him, the result of the
training he received abroad. He was trained to be inspired by the
simplest and humblest of objects be it a shell, a leaf or even a flower.
The first impressions of his paintings are a mass of colours that boast
the fine mastery and talent and also the many branches of nature that
Imthias dabbles with.
He is not a new comer to nature inspired paintings. Calligraphy is
one of the newer aspects of art that he has explored. He claims to have
been inspired by an attempt to be more in touch with his cultural and
religious roots. These unique pieces of Arabic literature are bound to
inspire the viewer. Each work of art created by Kaleel is unique in its
artistic expression and authenticity and is most definitely a labour of
love. |
