Venezuela blasts Colombian infiltration

Venezuala: The recent murder of 10 people in the Colombian to border with the characteristics of a military operation keeps the Venezuelan bordering zone in tension affected by irregular groups' action.

Eight of the ten people kidnapped and later murdered were Colombians and allegedly were members of a paramilitary group fighting for territory in the Venezuelan side.

The incident, being investigated ratified denunciations over paramilitary presence that has begun in the border areas but has reached other states. In an interview with journalist and country's ex Vice President Jose Vicente Rangel assured the groups were organized as peanut sellers but with a standard of living exceeding the one that corresponds to that activity.
