Kandy CC in first innings win

Kandy Cricket Club had to be satisfied with first innings points in the P. Sara Trophy Cricket Tournament match against Wennahapuwa Sports Club concluded at Sir Albert Peiris Stadium at Nattandiya yesterday.

Wennahapuwa SC were dismissed for 152 in their first innings and they trailed behind by 108 runs. Following on they were 105 for 6 at stumps and it was the good knock of 35 not out by Saman Tissagala which denied Kandy youths of an outright win.

Wennahapuwa SC 152 all out in 59.3 overs (Diswa Dimantha 30, Malinga Siyambalapitiya 24, S. Withanatilleke 15, Kassapa Rodrigo 15, Ruchiranga Dandeniya 3 for 33, Dileepa Wanasinghe 2 for 1) and 105 for 6 in 29 overs (Mohamed Furakhan 35, Saman Tissagala 35 not out, Suresh Peiris 2 for 11, Chamila Ambagaspitiya 2 for 29.)
