Bolivian President calls for unity
BOLIVIA: Bolivian President Evo Morales called for unity of the
country’s different social sectors for the general elections of December
6.
Addressing a large gathering in Batallas town, organized by groups of
the elderly, Morales recalled that the proposal of the ruling Movement
towards Socialism (MAS) includes professionals, indigenous leaders,
women and workers, as a proof of national diversity.
He presented lawyer Hector Arce, who is a candidate for deputy, as
well as former ombudswoman Ana Maria Romero and former mayor of
Achacachi Eugenio Rojas, future senators, as examples of this
integration in the Plurinational Legislative Assembly (the name to be
adopted by Congress in 2010). La Paz, Tuesday (Prensa Latina)
