Drug seller nabbed

Kudu King alias Kudu Jaya, the most notorious drug seller and the person who introduces drugs to Kottawa was taken to custody with 700mg. of heroine (40 packets) by Kottawa police at Athurugiriya Road, Kottawa. There are 3 other drug cases against him in the High Courts. “Kudu Jaya” applies new tactics to sell drugs and he had stitched a broad folder in his sarong with the drug packets hidden in the fold to avoid police detection. The folder cannot be seen at a glance.

The street value of the drugs taken to custody is nearly Rs. 15,000. The OIC of Kottawa Police M.L. Mahagedara told Daily News. The suspect taken to custody was produced at the Homagama Magistrate Court and was remanded and the case will be heard in the Avissawella High Courts.

Kottawa police is conducting investigations. The OIC had launched a special measures to stop drugs abuse in Kottawa.
