More funds for South Eastern University

South Eastern University Vice Chancellor, Dr. S. M. M. Ismail said
that the university is being developed at a cost of Rs. 1,400 million
funded by the Kuwaiti Government.
The Vice Chancellor was speaking at a meeting organised on the day of
the university's anniversary and the 61st birth anniversary of late M.
H. M. Ashroff, the founder of the university, recently.
The Vice Chancellor added that on the second phase, the Kuwaiti
Government has also allocated Rs. 1,700 million, and the Cabinet has
issued its approval to develop the university further.
The Vice Chancellor further said, that the university has made the
dreams of late M. H. M. Ashroff true as the national institution not
only for education but also for peace among all three communities by
giving opportunities for them for researching and reading to be capable
of meeting global challenges.
He also said that President Mahinda Rajapaksa is willingly dedicate
himself for the development of this university, and for that the
President has allocated plenty of funds too. |
