Thomians, Petes fight for cager honours

The All-island under 19 Schools Boys Basketball final between S. Thomas' College, Mt. Lavinia and St. Peter's College will be tipped off today under lights at the S. Thomas' College Courts.

S. Thomas' will be captained by Shehan Gomez and St. Peter's will be led by Lakshan Samarasinghe.

S. Thomas' have had an excellent season loosing just one match.

They beat Azar Central in the quarter finals by 77 points to 64 and overcame gallant Benedictines in semi finals by 85 points to 81.

St. Peter's had glorious season and remain unbeaten.

They beat St. Joseph's in the quarter finals by 67 points to 64 and beat Lyceum International School in the semi finals by 67 points to 61.

Forty nine schools participated in the All Island under 19 Schools' Boys Basketball tournament's first round and ten schools entered the second round championship.
