Joe - Pete annual soccer encounter today

The 20th Joe - Pete annual soccer tournament for the Stanley de Silva Challenge Trophy will be held at the Royal College rugby ground today.

The match will kick off at 4.00 p.m.

St. Joseph's College team is led by Rishanga S. Fonseka while the St. Peter's side is captained by Sean de Zoysa. Peterites have secured the title in 13 previous occasions while the Josephians have won the title in seven previous occasions. Peterites have recorded one win in this year's Division I tournament so far. They won 2-0 against Lumbini and lost to Isipatana (0-1) and Zahira (0-2).

St. Joseph's College in Division III, have won against St. Anthony's College Wattala (9-0), S. Thomas' (3-2), and Nalanda (8-0).
