The country's restaurant industry could envisage a positive growth as
there is a peaceful environment that helps the economic activities to
expand. People are moving freely and would patronize restaurants more
frequently, said Amaravathi Restaurant Director, Ravichandran Regi
Fernando.
"With the expected increase in the tourist arrivals, specialized
restaurants would be a main attraction where business could be enhanced.
We need to upgrade our services to cater to the growing needs of our
clientele. There is potential for high quality and standard restaurants.
Not only the locals, but the foreigners, mainly Indians, could be our
target segment," he said. Amaravathi Restaurant, which offers authentic
Indian cuisine is poised to attract high-end customers with its array of
North Indian, South Indian, Andhra Pradesh and Kerala foods, he said.
"The Restaurant is a popular choice of many Sri Lankans as well as
Indian customers and would continue to be a leading Indian food outlet
in the country. There is a growing demand for our food as most of our
customers prefer the Indian taste in our food," he said.
Amaravathi Restaurant would focus on expansion and will open a branch
at Nugegoda in the near future to facilitate the increasing customer
needs. We would identify main locations to set up few more branches in
time to come," he said. |
