Menaka and
Dulani |
Vahinna Muthu Vessak is based on a novel written by Ganga Hashini
Gamage. It unfolds a tale centering on a family while highlighting a
romance which takes place between two youths.
Sanasuma is an old mansion which is inhabited by several families.
The grandmother is the head of the small group of families. Her sons and
daughters too reside with her and so do their children. Pabalu is her
niece. Her parents are divorced and she is put under the care of her
grandmother.
The relationship between grandmother and niece is more like that of
two friends.
Pabalu's female cousins are more stylish than her and they do their
best to take advantage of her innocence. However Pabalu is wise for her
age. Thushan wants to marry her because he wishes to own her share of
the property. Thamali too backs his plans and it seems like Pabalu is
caught in a web of greed and deceit.
