Menaka and Dulani

Vahinna Muthu Vessak is based on a novel written by Ganga Hashini Gamage. It unfolds a tale centering on a family while highlighting a romance which takes place between two youths.

Sanasuma is an old mansion which is inhabited by several families. The grandmother is the head of the small group of families. Her sons and daughters too reside with her and so do their children. Pabalu is her niece. Her parents are divorced and she is put under the care of her grandmother.

The relationship between grandmother and niece is more like that of two friends.

Pabalu's female cousins are more stylish than her and they do their best to take advantage of her innocence. However Pabalu is wise for her age. Thushan wants to marry her because he wishes to own her share of the property. Thamali too backs his plans and it seems like Pabalu is caught in a web of greed and deceit.

Suddenly out of the blue a visitor enters their residence. He is Anuththara. Ironically it is Thushan who brings him to the household and thus digs his win grave as both Pabalu and Anuththara are attracted to each other.

The cameraman is Nilantha Mularatne, make up artist is Priyantha Dasanayake and production manager is Sarath Jayasundara.

The main assistant director is Ranjan Prasanna. Piyatissa akurambada is the art director. L.S. Chandrasekara is the production coordinator of the project and the script is penned by Ganga Hashini Gamage and Sarath Samaranayake. Ranga Dassanayake is the music director. The production management is handled by Buddhika Kulasekara. Swarnavahini will produce Vahinna Muthu Vessak.

Shooting began in areas around Colombo and the teledrama is set to take off air in December, weekdays at 8.30 p.m.
