No fee for third term test

Discontinuing the earlier practice, no fee will be charged from
students for the third school term test since the Education Ministry has
taken steps to bare the expenses, Education Ministry sources said.
The Education Ministry has already allocated Rs. 90 million as for
expenditure for the third term test of 2009. Around 4 million students
in 9662 schools will be benefited. It has been reported that some
parents faced much difficulty when paying examination fees and this will
be a great relief for them.
The Education Ministry will provide funds to the Provincial Education
Departments in due course.
Therefore, the Education Ministry will take measures to rectify
anomalies in term tests while ensuring that students will be given
quality examination papers which has no mistakes. Under the guidance of
the Education Ministry term tests will be carried out by Zonal Education
Offices and Provincial Education Departments. "The Education Ministry
has taken many precautionary measures to hold trouble free examinations.
Provincial Education Secretaries and Provincial Education Directors
will inspect the term test process. Unlike the previous term tests
students will be given a quality term test paper with no errors in the
third term test of 2009," sources added. |
