Eranga embarks on new project

Eranga Senaratne who was recently in the news for showcasing his fourth movie Sinasuna Aadaren, held the Muhurath ceremony for his newest teledrama Nil Nethu.

He will be teaming up with producer Ranjith Premalal on his latest project which is a Ransilu Audio Pvt. Ltd product. The story is panned by Mahesh Rathsara

Maddumarachchi who had been working on some of Eranga's previous creations.

The cast comprises Wilson Gunaratne, Manohari Wimalathunga, Kavinga Perera, Nirosha Udayangani, Lucky Dias, Duleeka Marapana, Devika Mihirani, Pubudu Gamage, Lal Kularatne, Dilini Lakmali, Chamalsha Devmini, Asha Edirisinghe, Kumara Thirimadura, Krishanthi Perera and others.

The story revolves around the habitants of an ancient mansion. Kingsley Udurawana is the present owner of the house and he lives in distress as he had squandered most of the wealth away during his youth. His eldest daughter, Samara, is an expert on positive thinking but does not have the habit of practicing her teaching.

His son, Neranjan, dreams of luxuries which they are unable to affords and plans on taking shortcuts to attain what he desires. The youngest member of the family, Pavithra Sandaras, is the only person in the household who looks up to reality and principals of life. The family's biggest enemy as well as friend is their competitors, the Malwenna family. They are a very traditional family which consists of three daughters who are of marriageable age. Meanwhile the Udurawana family looks for a employment for their children. The story explores some incidents which take place between these two families who seem close friends on the surface but holds grudges against each other beneath. It sheds light on the reality of human relationships, the fact that there may be many hidden emotions beneath bonds and links connecting human beings with each other.

Joseph Jeram is the assistant director, Aruna Peiris is the cameraman and Priyantha Navalage is the music director for Nil Nethu. Gamini S. Bandara is the art director while Vishvanath Wijesuriya handles the make up department.
