Massive verdict for Mahinda Chintana

Uva Governor C. Nanda Mathew commenting on the results of the SPC elections, said the voters in the South through their massive verdict had clearly endorsed the accelerated development programs launched by the President through Mahinda Chintana after ending three decades of war.

The Southern voters had given a massive mandate to the UPFA without being swayed by the false propaganda carried out by Opposition parties.

Southern voters by their verdict had also proved that the Opposition Leader would not fool them through his gimmicks. Mathew said he was certain that people would rally round the Government in still greater numbers in future to strengthen the hands of the President.
