Leeds star Donald hails Sinfield after Grand Final triumph
Leeds wing Scott Donald hailed skipper Kevin Sinfield as the best in
the business as he picked up his third straight Super League crown.
The 29-year-old former Manly wing is renowned for his try-scoring
abilities but was called into action in defence to ensure the Rhinos
continued their Old Trafford dominance over Saints with an 18-10 win in
the Grand Final on Saturday.
Leeds have now beaten St Helens in the last three Super League finals
and Donald was quick to praise inspirational captain Sinfield, who
picked up the Harry Sutherland trophy for his man-of-the-match
performance.
“Kev really is Mr Consistent and he performs like that week in week
out as well as when it matters in finals,” Donald said.
“He was absolutely awesome and he proved to be the difference between
the sides. To win three in a row is something I couldn’t have even
dreamed about when I left Australia.
