The Sri Lanka Army accorded a guard of honour to its Commander Lt. General Jagath Jayasuriya as it marked its Diamond Jubilee on October 10, at the Army Headquarters. Army Commander Lt. General Jagath Jayasuriya also addressed the troops at this occasion to celebrate the 60th anniversary. The Army Commander also participated at an event to open the new wing of the Military Hospital in Narahenpita on Saturday along with the senior officials of the Army.
