Swimmer gets six month ban

A six month ban was imposed on swimmer Chetiya Wijeratne who was found positive for drugs. This was conveyed to the governing body for the sport by National Anti Doping Organisation, said Kiran Atapattu the Secretary of NASU.

Chetiya was tested on July 11 soon after the age group meet and held the inquiry on August 12. The report was handed over to the NADO. This final decision was conveyed to the governing body yesterday (BP).
