Hair Olympics in Manila

The Asia Pacific Hairdressers and Cosmetologist Association (APHCA) will hold the 13th APHCA Hair Olympics in Manila, Philippines on October 20 and 21.

The event consists of five categories including men's cut and blow, ladies cut and blow, ladies cut and style, bridal make-up and commercial make-up.

Competitors from 29 countries around the world will take part.

Renowned beautician Deepika Gunasekara said this year's event would provide great opportunities to Sri Lankan hairdressers to gain knowledge and experience on the field. APHCA-Sri Lanka will coordinate the Sri Lankan competitors under Gunasekara.

She said a number of Sri Lankan hairdressers had won the international recognition in several events conducted by the APHCA at international level.
