Six year jail term for Fujimori
PERU: The Peruvian Supreme Court of Justice (CSJ) sentenced on
Wednesday former President Alberto Fujimori (1990-2000) to six years in
prison for the crimes of phone interception, corruption, and illegal
purchase of a TV channel and the editorial page of a national daily.
The sentence also orders him a payment of 24 million nuevos soles
(eight million US dollars) to the State and three million nuevos soles
(one million dollars) to each one of the affected people, including
