Grand double for Visakha

Visakha Vidyalaya achieved a grand double winning the under-15 and under-19 matches against Ladies College in their annual Waterpolo Tournament encounter played at the Visakha Vidyalya swimming pool.

Determination, commitment and hunger to win made it happen to the victorious Vishakians in both encounters.

In the under-15 match Vishaka Vidyalaya defeated Ladies College by 7 goals to 4. Aneka Abeywickrama top scored with four good goals for the winners.

Visakha Vidyalaya also won the under-19 match with 2 goals to nil over Ladies College. Sharindee Weerasinghe and Limashi Kosgodage scored a goal each in the first two minutes of the game.

Visakha Vidyalaya team is coached by National Coach Sanjaya Fernando and energetic Zafar Zainudeen.

Lasitha Perera and Janith Peiris officiated at both games.

Amali Nanayakkara was the chief guest.
