Colombo BC beat Wattala

Colombo Basketball Club beat Wattala Basketball Club by 64 points to 52 in a Carlton Cup Open Basketball tournament match played at Police Courts.

Colombo BC was in the lead with 25 points to 16 at half time.

Roshan Randima (16 points), Roshan Fernando (12 points) and Jagath Kulatunga (11 points) made good contributions to winning team while Manjula Jayaratne and Prageeth Pushpakumara scored 16 points each for Wattala Basketball Club.

Otters BC defeated Carlton BC by 65 points to 58 in another match played at same venue.

Otters were in the lead with 30 points to 21 at half time.

Roshan Gunasekare (16 points) and Shanaka Perera (16 points) was the top scorers for the winning team. Gayan Meedeniya Collected 9 points, while Chamath Serasinghe bagged 19 points for Carlton BC.
