Angulana incident: Police nab woman

A special police team attached to the Panadura Police yesterday nabbed the woman who was reportedly behind the Angulana police incident which resulted in the death of two innocent youths in police custody.

According to Police Spokesman Senior DIG Nimal Mediwaka, the woman was nabbed while selling hard drugs near the Kethumathi Hospital for Women in Panadura yesterday.

Panadura Police on information sent a decoy to buy packets containing heroin from her. The Police team nabbed her while she was trying to sell packets with heroin to the police decoy, Mediwaka said.

Panadura Police have recovered 30 packets of heroin weighing over 660mg in her possession.
