Aditya Hotel - - An incomparable hotel experience

One of the most romantic places to stay in Sri Lanka, Aditya is a contemporary all-suite boutique hotel located on a secluded stretch of beach between Hikkaduwa and Galle. The hotel has a very elegant modern design throughout and is characterised by luxurious fittings and exclusive accommodation.

Aditya is a group of solar deities in the Hindu faith, and this resort certainly lives up to its name. This exclusive property has five Garden Suites, six Sea View Suites and one Grand Suriya Suite.

The suites themselves are, quite simply, enormous. Each one is wonderfully unique in design, but alike in being elegant and indulgent in equal measure.

Each suite is equipped with a private outdoor plunge pool/jacuzzi, some with views out to sea, and others overlooking the surrounding countryside - all with wicker blinds that can be lowered for privacy or shade.

The sumptuous furniture is largely Balinese in origin and stands resplendently in the carefully designed and partitioned spaces. Each suite offers an expansive sense of space and an impeccable range of comforts. The attention to detail given to this hotel is unsurpassed.

Named after the solar deities in Hindu mythology, Aditya is an exclusive all- suite luxury.

While Aditya is beautifully spacious, it maintains an intimate atmosphere since public areas are gracefully broken up by split level flooring, pretty lily ponds, plant-filled courtyards and wide archways. Soaring ceilings, polished floors and splashes of vibrant colour in alcoves and interior walls provide the setting for an eye-catching array of antiques, artifacts and pictures sourced from Sri Lanka, the Subcontinent and the East Indies.

Of course Aditya also has an excellent restaurant. Our restaurant is renowned for its cosmopolitan menu - with a strong emphasis on fresh seafood - and its bright and elegant seaside dining room.

The twelve suites are beautifully spacious and kitted out with every modern comfort you could ever wish for including cosy Jacuzzis, ocean view terraces and private gardens. The serene hammock-strung garden at Aditya is shaded by many palms and perfect for a satisfying siesta as you are lulled to sleep by the sway of the sea! Access to the long beach is through a sandy walkway between the many limbed trees that ensures privacy for the property.

Aditya is one of the finest hotels in Sri Lanka, taking the boutique concept to a whole new level on this wonderful island. This is Bernard Gomez’s first foray into hotel design and represents a landmark for the industry in Sri Lanka, setting a new standard that others will no doubt try to follow.

The hotel also boasts of an upmarket spa service that goes with the other attractive trappings. “Our spa service offers rejuvenating treatments in total comfort and privacy.

“You can also enjoy our fully-equipped gym and a library well-stocked with books and movies,” says Director General Manager, Shamindra Fernando.
