Two thousand fifty paddlers for Milady TT Championships

Two thousand and fifty players from sixty teams will take part in the 12th Milady Open All Island Table Tennis Team Championship to be held at St. Thomas Indoor Stadium on September 26 and 27.

The 12th Milady Open All Island Table Tennis Team Championship is conducted by the Old Sokians Table Tennis Club and sponsored by Daintee Marketing Ltd, Ratmalana.

(Men's and Women's teams are divided into six categories (A, B, C, D, E, F).

Chief guest for the occasion will be Prof. Ayal Jayatilake, Chairman Daintee Marketing Ltd., Sales Manager Nishantha Mendis and Sarath Guneratne President of the Old Dharmasoka Table Tennis Club will grace the occasion.

The first Milady Open TT Championship was held at Ananda College Hall in 1988. Last year nearly 200 players took part in this tournament.

Men's Divisions C,D,E, and F and Women's Divisions D,E, F will commence at 8.00 a.m. on Saturdays.

Men's Divisions A & B and Women's Divisions B & C will commence at 9.00 a.m. on Sunday. The Individual Event for both Girls & Boys and Women's & Men's will commence after 12.30 (both days)

Finals will be held on Sunday evening.

Men's C Division - Gampola TT Association, Singer Sports Club, Astron Sports Club, Wesley College C, Lalith Athulathmudali MV, S. Thomas' College C - (49), CWW Kannangara MV - (20), University of Colombo - (56).

Men's D Division - Gampola TT Association - (30), St. Joseph's - (29), CWW Kannangara - (21), St. Peter's College - (18), S. Thomas' College Mt. Lavinia - (9), University of Colombo - (55).

Men's E Division - Butterfly - (40), Apollo - (38), Playground - (34), Dialog A - (37), St. Peter's - (17), Butterfly - (39), HSBC - (2), Dialog B - (36), Dehiwala Central - (19), Prince of Wales' College - (1).

Men's F Division - Butterfly - (41), S. Thomas' College F - (11), Old Sokians - (15), ICD Academy - (59).

Women's B Division - Holy Family Convent Kurunegala - (48), Anula Vidyalaya A - (43), Anula Vidyalaya B - (42), HSBC C - (3), Colombo University C - (54).

Women's C Division - St. Lawrence C - (28), Anula Vidyalaya - (44), Old Sokians C - (16), Holy Cross Gampaha - (5).
