One new meet record on day two

The second day of National School Athletic Meet saw one new meet record at the Sugathadasa Stadium yesterday.

K Chamaka Kavindra of Gateway International College, Rajagiriya set a new record in the Girls Under 17 Javelin Throw event with a distance of (39.37m) to better the record held by H.L Nadeesha Lekamge of Aerepola Sri Mahinda M.V in 2003.

The meet saw two records established in two days of the National School Athletic Meet which will be continued today commencing at 8:30 a.m.
