Erasmus Mundus scholarship program
Rafik Jalaldeen
The Erasmus Mundus higher education program offers scholarships to
graduates to promote dialogue and understanding between people and
cultures through cooperation with other countries.
The European Union launched a new phase of the Erasmus Mundus program
in 2009, which envisages the granting of scholarships to graduates from
Third World countries to study Master degree and Doctoral level programs
in the EU. This new phase will be valid until 2013.
This flagship education and training program will enable more than
180,000 students to study and work abroad each year, as well as support
action of co-operation between higher education institutions in Europe
and other countries.
