Malaysians who robbed Sri Lankan arrested

Malaysian police raided a hotel and arrested four students yesterday, barely 24 hours after they had robbed a Sri Lankan at a condominium in Jalan Kelang Lama.

Brickfields police chief ACP Wan Abdul Bari Wan Abdul Khalid said the students aged 19-23 were arrested in a hotel room at 6.30 p.m. It followed a tip-off from the public.

"We managed to recover over RM 5,000 and the victim's mobile phone. The suspects who are from an institution of higher learning have been remanded and will be charged soon," he said. Bernama
