The Industrial Technology Institute(ITI) was recently awarded a
contract to carry out calibration work at ten Pakistani research
laboratories, ITI sources revealed.
The calibration will be done by the Industrial Meteorology
Laboratory(IML) department of the ITI.
Sources added that calibration of 47 balances had been successfully
done within 12 days by two experts named Nalin Liyanawaduge and Thilini
Pathiragoda.
This is the third job that IML has undertaken as a foreign assignment
which has been completed successfully.
ITI had lent its calibrating services to many export oriented
companies as well as health services of the country. The IML is now
equipped with modern instruments required to carry out calibration
activities in mass, thermometry electrical and electronic areas both at
local and international level.
