General elections:

UPFA predicts resounding victory

The SLFP led UPFA will secure a two thirds majority at the next General Election and no force can stop this resounding victory, Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare Minister Keheliya Rambukwella said.

Its victory will dismantle the claims that it is not possible even to get a majority under the PR system.

The Minister was addressing a series of SLFP branch meetings at several places in Kundasale electorate recently.

A General Election will be held immediately after the forthcoming Presidential Election. After this victory, the SLFP led UPFA will create a political history in the country, the Minister said.
