The Senior Inter League Championship 2009 final will see Mannar Football League battle with Colombo Football League today at the CR&FC ground with play scheduled to commence at 3.30 p.m.

Manna FL to reach the final ousted Ampara FL 2-1, Chilaw FL 4-0 and City FL in a tie breaker system 4.3, while their opponent made their way to the final defeating Dehiwela - Mt. Lavinia FL 4-2, Galle FL 1-0, Kalutara FL 5-0 and Civil Security FL 5-0 going through the record Colombo FL has the striking power while the team from mannar will have lot of hard work to over run the Colombo team as they as visitors will not have the ground support.

Though the Mannar lads came as the visiting team they could pose a threat to the Colombo team as they are capable of handling tough situations in good manner with lot of stamina take them right through the 90 minutes of play.

The result not be predicted easily in this game but it is sure that top class soccer can be witnessed from both teams. The winner is to receive the trophy and a purse worth Rs. 50,000 while the loser gets a trophy and a cash award of Rs. 35,000. Chandra J.
