USL cricket tournament today

The inter-department six-a-side cricket tournament of the Uniliver Sri Lanka Limited will take place at the BRC Ground Colombo today. The Emil Fernando championship trophy will be on offer for the champs among 16 teams which will vie for honours. The teams will be from Customer Division, Finance and IT, Supply Chain, HR and IR, Marketing, Tea Division, CT Agarapathana.

The tournament is organized by the Uniliver Sports Club and the chief guest will be Chairman, Uniliver Sri Lanka Limited, Amal Cabral.

Inter-club Netball from September 19 to 21

The All Island Inter-Club Netball tournament 2009 organized by the Sri Lanka Netball Interim Committee will be held on September 19,20 and 21 at Shalika Ground, Narahenpita, Colombo 5.

There are six events included in the tournament classified as A,B,C under-20, Under-18 and veterans (over 35).

Old Johnians friendly cricket on Sunday

A friendly cricket match between two teams made up of old boys of St. John's College Panadura will be held at the college ground on Sunday.

The event will take place from 8.30 a.m. onwards and Old Johnians and Old Johnian cricketers are invited to take part.

The event is organized by the Old Johnians Crick Wing.
