Carlton Cup cager tourney will begin today

The Carlton Cup Basketball Tournament organized by the Tharunyata Hetak Foundation and sponsored by the Sri Lanka Telecom Ltd will underway today at the Depot Police Courts.

The tournament divided in to two groups will see the Group B matches played during the first few day and the Group A matches are scheduled to commence on September16. The organizers had to play these matches as the Maldivian teams participating in his tourney is due to arrive in the after their Festival.

This tourney is the first Club Tournament that has attracted two foreign teams.

The finals of both groups are scheduled to be played on October 04 at the Sugathadasa stadium.
