EU begins debate

On political and economic crisis:

Belgium: The economic crisis, future of the Lisbon Treaty and renovation of its institutions will be the key subjects for the European Union (EU) as it begins political and parliamentary activities after the summer holidays.

Actions will begin this Wednesday with an informal lunch of the ministers of Economy and Finances of the 27 member states that prepare the European position for the Summit of the 20 (G-20) to be held between September 24 and 25 in Pittsburgh (Pennsylvania, US). According to the press the meting could back ideas such as regulations of salaries of top executives of the large companies.

It was also revealed that this coming September 14 the European Commission (EC) will present an up date of its economic predictions whose great question will be if the EU and the euro zone could recover from the recession in the coming months.
