'Parental skills' program to be launched in N/E

The National Child Protection Authority (NCPA) will launch a special program in the Northern and Eastern Provinces from next month to equip parents with 'Parental skills'. This program will be implemented parallel to the 'Northern Spring' and 'Eastern Resurgence', NCPA spokesman said.

According to the spokesman, parents will be educated on improving children's nutrition, assuring their safety, building a close relationship between children and parents based on trust and friendship and similar subjects.

The program will be implemented with the support of family health officers and officers attached to the NCPA.

District Secretaries will coordinate and monitor this program under the supervision of the NCPA.

The program will continue till the end of this year.
