Literary Arts Festival in Polonnaruwa

The National Literary Arts Festival organized by the Cultural Affairs and National Heritage Ministry will be held from September 3 to 6 at Royal Central College, Polonnaruwa.

A ceremony to award Deshanethru and Pulasthipuraabhimani honours will be held on September 4, under the patronage of the Agricultural Development and Agrarian Services Minister Maithripala Sirisena and Education Minister Susil Premajayantha on the invitation of Cultural Affairs and National Heritage Minister Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena and the Cultural Affairs Minister K. Piyasiri Wijenayake.

The National Literary Arts Festival includes many cultural events and discussions, educational sessions on national heritage and traditional event of entertainment throughout the festival, sources said.
