Jehan leads team for Champions League

All rounder Jehan Mubarak will captain the Wayamba Province team at the Champions League Twenty20 tournament which will be staged from October 8 to 23 in India.

The other teams competing in this tournament are Cape Cobras, Deccan Chargers, Delhi Daredevils, New South Wales, Otago, Royal Challengers Bangalore, Sussex, Somerset, Trinidad and Tobago and Victoria.

The Wayamba Province team approved by the Minister of Sports and Public Recreation: Jehan Mubarak (Captain), Jeevantha Kulathunga (Vice Captain), Mahela Jayawardena, Mahela Udawatta, Thisara Perera, Sameera Soysa, Ajantha Mendis, Shalika Karunanayake, Isuru Udana, Ishara Amarasinghe, Chanaka Welagedara, Rangana Hearath, Farveez Maharoof, Kaushlya Lokuarchchi and Michael van Dort.

Officials: Asoka Pathirana (Manager), Ranjith Madurusinghe (Provincial Representative) and Vinothen John (Selector).

Support Staff: Manoj Abeywickrama (Coach), Uditha Bandara (Physiotherapist), D. S. N. Premaratne (Masseur), Sanath Jayasundara (Computer Analyst) and Lanka De Silva (Assistant Coach / Fielding Coach).
