'Stock Market opportunities and Listing on the CSE'

The Colombo Stock Market

Following the success of several previous interactive evenings organized by the Sri Lanka Institute of Directors (SLID), a session with the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE) is slated for August 28, from 4.30pm at the Hilton Colombo Residence.

The Colombo Stock Exchange has recorded a growth of over 67 percent for the year, placing it among the top five best-performing markets in the world for 2009.

The forum will commence with "Stock Market Opportunities", a discussion of the Investment opportunities of the Colombo Stock Market by Head of Corporate Finance, Brandix (Pvt) Ltd, Hasitha Premaratne where current opportunities that exist in the market as well as its future potential and how one could invest and profit from the Stock Market.

The second session "Listing your company on the CSE", will be an introduction to the listing process and benefits a listing can bring a company by Assistant General Manager, Clearing and Settlement, Colombo Stock Exchange Rajeeva Bandaranaike this will also deal with why the Stock Market should be considered as an option for a company to raise capital.

A panel discussion with President SLID Mahen Dayananda and CEO, CSE Surekha Sellahewa and the two speakers will be at the helm.
